Lets do the timewarp again...

Last week, the UK got to see the Rocky Horror Glee Show, which aired at Halloween in the states. It was, quite simply, brilliant. It has also left me with various tunes from the show running round my head and wanting to see the film again.

Until I get a chance too, however, I guess I'll have to make do with the Bunny Parody:

Yes, RHS is a hoot, isn't it? But as someone who has seen it live on stage too I always feel that the second half of the show depicting the fall of Frank N'Furter is musically and dramatically not quite as strong as his first appearance and his being in control, before things start to disintegrate. On the other hand the great strength of the film version for me is that I've never seen anyone or can even imagine anyone outdoing Tim Curry in sheer bravura campiness as Frank (though I have met others who disagree with me on this point). Another film bonus is having the late, great, much-missed Charles Gray there too. Certainly all-in-all, great entertainment.
