Firstly, apologies for the tardiness of this week's post - yesterday was a long day and I didn't have the time or energy for posting in the evening. Besides, The Apprentice was on!!
The choice for N was a simple one - I only had one option! I've featured this artist previously but he is so good, I'm more than happy to feature him again. So here's Paolo Nutini with Simple Things - a song about being grounded in life.

Hmmmm okay, we'll allow you that. Won't complain about you skating over 'New Order', 'New Kids on the Block' and the 'New Seekers'. Well, maybe we shouldn't include the latter, though I do expect to see 'The (original) Seekers' as a high possibility for your 'S' choice.
My own top 'N' would probably have been Anthony Newley, but that was long, long before you were even a twinkle in your father's eye. (We must also mention the divine Olivia N-J.)
But as for 'O', you can't pretend to be keeping us in suspense. It's Donny & Co isn't it? Got it in one - Hah! ;-)
New Order is woefully lacking from My collection, 'tis true. Although we did have a sample of Blue Monday last week, if you remember...
New Kids on the Block are not a band I have ever owned... or wanted to own. They were more my sister's type of band!
I remember liking The (New?) Seekers when my parents listened to "Sounds of the Sixties" on a Saturday morning... In particular, whichever incarnation sang "Carnival is Over".
I have no idea who Anthony Newley is and, again, Olivia Newton-John isn't exactly my cup of tea.
As for O, it's not The Osmonds!!!
And finally, it's some way off but S will not be The Seekers... As things stand, S is going to be a double header - one of the artists is indeed from your era :-p

Andrew, 'New Kids' was suggested as a jest - though must admit I really liked their 1990 hit single 'Tonight'; but that's the only one!
'The Carnival is Over' is by the original 'Seekers', in a different class to their 'offspring' 'The New Seekers' (founded by one of the first group's original members). The harmonies of the original group topped by Judith Durham's soaring contribution has rarely been equalled and possibly never surpassed, at least in pop music. So many of their recordings I regard as timeless classics.
No, I hardly thought you'd go for those toothy Mormon bros. Just to make it clear, I didn't either.
Never heard of Anthony Newley? Oh dear. I find that a bit sad, but once again my age shows (I'm pretty well out of touch with post-2000 pop music, myself). Newley's life as a pop music star was not very long, notching up half a dozen top 10 hits from 1959 to 1961, including two number ones. One-time hubby of Joan Collins, he wrote a number of successful musicals (with his partner Leslie Bricusse) dying only about 10 years ago. He was one of those rare British talents who was more appreciated in the USA than in his home country.
Now jumping to your 'S', even though your revelation is some way away I just KNOW that one of your double will be Dusty, which I wouldn't demur from, though I'm ashamed to admit that, versatile though her singing was, her voice always left me a little bit cold. Wish it wasn't like that but there you are. Anyway, that's all jumping the gun.
Finally, I'll be more than a little disappointed if your 'O' turns out to be Liam, Noel & Co, but it won't be, will it? Not long to wait now.
