Sunday Sounds 42

Yesterday I featured Tim Minchin and his Three Minute Song. In another version of that song, he name-checks Victor Borge who becomes the subject of this week's Sunday Sound with a version of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No.1. performed with The Muppet Orchestra...

I saw him live in Oxford (c. 1980?) when, after I'd had a heavy previous night for some reason, and I was seated about five rows from the front, I pinched the bridge of my nose (as one does when one has lacked adequate sleep). He interrupted his act, looked down at me in front of the packed-out 2,000 seat theatre, and said "Did you nearly sneeze?" In my embarrassment I could only force a smile and nod - while those around looked to see to whom he was talking. Good job the main lights were down. I must have turned beetroot!

Good, multi-talented chap, though.
