5 on the 5th - October

It's time for 5 on the Fifth and this month, the theme was "pleasure".

I'm afraid my pictures aren't particularly on theme, other than I took them during a pleasurable walk at lunchtime today. They were all taken on Brandon Hill in Bristol. The Tower is Cabot Tower which celebrates the achievement of John Cabot who sailed from Bristol and discovered North America in 1497.

Follow the link to Stephen's blog to see how the theme was interpreted by other contributors. Additionally, you can find a bonus pic over on my Tumblr blog

You've made Bristol look very nice too.

If I'd gone for a walk at lunchtime I'd have come back soaked so far from pleasurable. But like the other Stephen says pleasure is in the senses of the one gaining the pleasure.

Well, it was a bit drizzly... and the wind and rain have been pretty relentless here tonight - even to the extent of disrupting the Sky signal!

Very nice pics. The view from the tower is wonderful.

Thanks Cubby :-)

I took quite a few from the tower, and some will no doubt appear on my Tumblr blog in due course!

My sister, her hubby, her son and his family have all just returned from an extended long week-end in Bristol, visiting another son of hers. My sister's first time there in 20 years. They did a lot of sight-seeing walking and have come back worn out - but absolutely singing Bristol's praises.
Your pictures confirm as well that I really ought to take up my nephew's long-standing invitation to go too - and I will, sometime, though I think I'd better 'speak' with you beforehand for you to suggest what there is there that is positively 'unmissable'. A great deal, I reckon.

@Raybeard - There are a number of "unmissable" attractions - one of which (the SS Great Britain) is going to be the feature of an upcoming blog...

@TF - Ta muchly! :-)
