Men should think twice before making widowhood woman's only path to power. Gloria Steinem
So was it as good as you hoped, then? I'm going tomorrow. (Ho hum!) Committed to it now as I've already got my ticket, a 2D screening (which, hopefully means a smaller audience) and back row, end, so as to distance myself as much as poss from any pesky kids. Will be relieved to have got the series all seen and done with.Btw - Did I miss your expected additional blog on 'Senna'? I saw it mainly because of your general urging. Unfortunately I must be lacking that part of one's psyche which enables one to appreciate masterpieces. ;-)
I went 2D as time suited better and had been informed the 3D didn't add a great deal.I have to say I enjoyed it and it whetted my appetite for re-reading the books. :-)As for Senna... it's one a number of posts which I've intended to do but never quite got round to composing. Sorry you didn't enjoy - perhaps you have to be an F1 fan! Still one of my favourite films of the year, though!!
Re Senna - Said before and I'll say it again - Each to his own. But it wasn't just you. The venerable Dr Mark Kermode said that you didn't have to be a motor racing fan (he wasn't one himself) to enjoy it. Alas, it didn't work for me - but there you are! So HPDH2 tomorrow. I can't say I'm going with an open mind as all the previous ones in the series have been much of a muchness, and I don't expect this one to be significantly different. Can't say I want to re-read the HP books which I've read (the first 4 at least) or even to read the remainder. But I'm at the stage in my life where I prefer to do the things I really want to, before my sands finally run out!
