As I type, the outlying rain heralding the coming of Storm St. Jude is steadily drumming on the windows of my attic room...

Not sure if I'd heard this version before, though I probably have. But it's a beauty.
(Then, of course, there's Elizabeth Welch singing it at the end of Derek Jarman's 'The Tempest').
I trust you survived the night okay. You'd have had the storm going directly over you. Goodness, it was a really noisy night here on the south coast, but the wind's dropped right back now.
