It's time for 5 on the 5th! This month's theme is "mess" but I've not really stayed on message; Indeed, I apologise in advance for the tenuous links to the topic...
Keep Britain Tidy |
Oh dear, the trees have been littering |
You won't believe how long it took to clean this up... |
Ehm, this ship probably has an Officers Mess... |
...and you'd never find any sort of mess on a Bowling Green! |
Make sure you follow this link to see the other entries - and why not post some pics yourself?!

A little tenuous - but great all the same!
Officers mess... HO HO HO
Well you certainly tried - and they fulfilled the loose criterion. (Unlike this one who didn't 'try' at all - just lifted the camera and 'click!)
Yours look very Sunday morning-ish. If so, I can well understand how you wouldn't care for anyone to see you snapping a litter bin!
They were all taken yesterday evening after work... Felt a bit odd taking a pic of the bin but wasn't that bothered about what people thought!
Hey great pictures :)
Nice pics! I love the ship best.
Seeing as the Guinea Fowl often wander over my bowling green I can assure you that sometimes mess does appear on a bowling green ;-)
As for the state of some of the bowlers!
Monday evening? Bristol must be a really serene place - well, maybe not at pub chucking-out time, eh?
@all Ta! :-)
@Cubby - I've got a few more of the ship (HMS Ledbury, the largest "glass reinforced plastic" ship in the world, apparently) which I may well post at a future date. There's also a pic over on my tumblr blog: http://oneexwidow.tumblr.com/
@Raybeard - , Serenity was a combination of luck and timing - and being slightly away from the main routes across/past College Green where first three pics taken.
